CleanBC Better Homes Energy Savings Program

An income-qualified programme delivered with registered contractors. From invoices dated 6 July 2026, rebates for oil, propane and gas-heated homes were reduced, and some electric offers ended. We haven't verified the new rebate table line by line. Check Better Homes BC before you sign a quote.

Plus the federal rebate

The National Heat Pump Rebate ($2,000, or up to $10,000 at or below BC's income thresholds, from $46,981 for 1 person to $170,187 for 5+) applies to installs from 1 November 2026. The 8 October announcement said it combines with provincial programmes. The federal rules don't require removing your old system, but BC Hydro's whole-home offer has its own requirements.
